About
My name is Gina Halladay. I love to craft and to quilt. And I like to have fun. Fun is meeting people and I have met so many talented and friendly people through quilting. I am glad you stopped by. Please leave a comment and introduce yourself!
You may have read my blog, Quiltersbuzz – a blog about the people, patterns, projects and products of the quilting industry. It started as an adventure and has turned into a wonderful opportunity to become connected to so many absolutely awesome quilters, fabric designers, pattern designers, etc
In addition to writing about the quilting industry, I also run two companies.
- Cranberry Quiltworks is the authorized dealer for Gammill long-arm quilting machines in Southern California and Las Vegas, Nevada. Cranberry also sells long-arm quilting supplies such as wholesale quilt threads like PermaCore, and Superior, pantograph quilt patterns, quilt batting, needles and notions.
- I also design quilt patterns at Threaded Pear Studio. My passion for designing patterns comes from the desire to provide anyone the opportunity to create a unique and beautiful quilt no matter their quilting experience or expertise. My first pattern series was at Houston Quilt Market in 2006 and was called Afternoon Delights — Quilts you can do in an afternoon or two! I later added a pattern series called Comfort Quilts and a line of Aprons called Aprons ala Carte!
I hope to inspire a younger generation of quilters as well as the seasoned quilter. For me the combination of people, fabrics and patterns make quilting so enjoyable and fulfilling.
I have a degree in Communications/Journalism from Brigham Young University. For me, writing about quilting is about as good as it gets!
